VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT

AWARD OF MANCHENG WTE PLANT PPP PROJECT

This announcement is made by Canvest Environmental Protection Group Company Limited (the "Company") on a voluntary basis.

The board of directors of the Company (the "Board") is pleased to announce that Canvest Kewei Environmental Investment (Guangdong) Company Limited* (formerly known as Dongguan Kewei Environmental Power Company Limited), was recently notified that it was awarded the waste-to-energy plant public-private-partnership ("PPP") project located in Mancheng district of Baoding city of Hebei Province ( 滿城垃圾焚燒發電廠 ) (the "Mancheng WTE Plant") by the Mancheng Housing and Urban and Rural Bureau of Construction in Baoding City* (保定市滿城區住房和城鄉建設局). An agreement in relation to the award of the tender (the "Agreement") was entered into in this regard.

Pursuant to the Agreement, the total daily municipal solid waste processing capacity (the "Processing Capacity") of the Mancheng WTE Plant shall be 1,000 tonnes. The Mancheng WTE Plant shall be constructed in two phases, of which the Processing Capacity of phase I shall be 500 tonnes and phase II shall be 500 tonnes. The concession period to operate the Mancheng WTE Plant shall be 30 years (including the construction period). A concession agreement may be entered into upon further negotiations. As at the date of this announcement, no concession agreement has been entered into.

The Company will make further announcement(s) pursuant to the requirements under the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited as and when appropriate.
