Nashville, TN - Today, President Donald J. Trump addressed the American Farm Bureau Federation's 99 Annual Convention. In attendance was John Bode, President and CEO of the Corn Refiners Association. Bode reacted to the President's speech saying:

'We deeply appreciate the importance President Trump has placed on restoring economic vitality to rural America. Making his Rural Economic Prosperity announcement the centerpiece of his first policy speech after tax reform reflects a strong commitment to this important goal.

Since President Trump's election, the federal regulatory war on economic growth has been stopped, tax reform promises major investment and growth, and now we have a very promising rural prosperity initiative. Unemployment is at a 17 year low of 4.1%, wages are up 2.5%, and the stock market has had its best post-election performance since the Roosevelt administration. The general economic growth agenda is already paying rich dividends. Clearly, President Trump is determined to push this economic boom to rural America.

We are eager to dig into the details of the President's rural prosperity initiative and find ways to be helpful.'
