Whether this regulation is not accomplished, a fine of USD 10.000 will be charged to the carriers and vessel arrival and sailing will be prohibited. This fine will be recovered from the shipper who does not comply with this regulation.

We hereby inform you that the "Korea National Fisheries Products Quality Administration Service" (KNFPQA) has reported a new regulation which will be effective as of January 31st, 2014.

This rule will be applicable for all vessels carrying fish cargo, including transshipment cargo.

All fishing merchandise must be declared to the KNFPQA with a deadline of 24 hours prior to vessel arrival.

In addition, it is mandatory that shipper dispatch two (2) documents; Certificate of Origin and the Certificate of a Fish Catch to its local agency (originals scanned), in order the agency sends them to Korea. These certificates are applicable only for the following types of fishes:
