'For new and complex business models HMRC often needs to engage with firms to ensure the right amount of tax is paid.

'The CBI welcomes the important steps currently being taken by governments around the world to update the international tax rules to ensure the amount of tax paid by multinational companies corresponds to economic activity in that country.'
