In celebration of New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth’s brand-new novel “Carve the Mark,” Books-A-Million will present “An Evening with Veronica Roth” on Wednesday, January 25 at 7 p.m. The event will take place at Taylor High School Performing Arts Center, located at 20700 Kingsland Boulevard, and feature a special Q&A presentation with Sarah Enni from the First Draft podcast. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with seating on a first-come, first-served basis.

During this special event, Roth and Enni will discuss the popular author’s new sci-fi novel “Carve the Mark,” a fast-paced adventure about a fantastical planet where violence and vengeance rule, and residents are favored by fate and their currentgifts, a unique power meant to shape the future. While most benefit from these currentgifts, Akos and Cyra do not, for their gifts make them vulnerable to others’ control. When the peace-loving Akos is thrust into Cyra’s brutal word of tyranny, the enmity between their countries and families seems insurmountable. Will they be able to reclaim their lives, reset the power of the world and help each other survive? Or will they fall victim to the galaxy’s hostility and destroy one another in the process? Roth’s fast-paced novel beckons thrill-seekers to find out one page at a time.

Tickets are required to attend the author event and are available for purchase online at veronicarothbam.eventbrite.com. Tickets include entrance to the Q&A, as well as a pre-signed copy of “Carve the Mark,” which will be distributed to attendees at the conclusion of the event. Additionally, 100 lucky fans will be randomly chosen to attend a meet and greet with Roth featuring a photo opportunity and book personalization following the presentation. As a special gift, fans who upload their Eventbrite receipt to bit.ly/DivergentGift through January 17, will receive a never-before-seen “Divergent” series epilogue “We Can Be Mended.”
