Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency : The Centre Plein Air Mont Farlagne Diversifies its Services and Acquires Tools to Ensure Operational Sustainability

René Arseneault, Member of Parliament for Madawaska-Restigouche, today announced a total investment of $133,750 under ACOA's Business Development Program for upgrades and management tools that will enable the Centre plein air Mont Farlagne to maximize the hill's potential and expand into year-round operations. He made the announcement on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.

The Government of Canada's investment includes a repayable contribution of $110,500 to renovate the main lodge and to purchase a computerized management system and equipment for the terrain park and sliding centre. The federal government also provided a non-repayable contribution of $23,250 to the Centre to hire consultants to provide training and advice on effective management.
