Arynga, Inc., an innovator and leader in the delivery of intelligent vehicle software management solutions, today announced that its vehicle software update and management platform CarSync TM has been integrated with Vector's Flash Bootloader (FBL). Arynga demonstrated this extended vehicle Electronic Control Unit (ECU) updating capability at the GENIVI Alliance Showcase, during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV on the nights of January 6th-8th, 2014.

The CarSync live showcase demonstrated the update of an Intel Tizen IVI Head Unit leveraging a Vector FBL to then update a Client ECU (Freescale MPC board). Arynga also demonstrated its flexible global distribution capabilities utilizing a Vehicle Backend Server running on the cloud infrastructure in a secure data center in San Diego, and the user interface running on the cloud infrastructure in a secure data center in Germany.

The showcase also highlighted one of CarSync's main components, the CarSync Release Package Tool (CRPT), which includes Arynga's proprietary file differential technology which has been proven in Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Tier One supplier benchmark tests to be the leader in optimizing software or firmware update time and reduced memory footprint. The demonstration also included CarSync's fully operational cloud-based infrastructure, highlighting its distributed and scalable architecture, and robust Over-The-Air (OTA) Firmware and Software file management capability.

Robert Miller, Vector North American Product Line Director, Embedded Systems, commented, "Whether Over-The-Air or updated through physical media at the dealership, Arynga's collaboration with Vector ensures a seamless integration of the key embedded components for the OTA delivery framework and re-flashing of vehicle ECUs. We are pleased to help bring this exciting new ECU updating enhancement to the market place."

Walter Buga, Arynga CEO, stated, "The Vector FBL - Arynga CarSync integration, will offer OEMs and Tier One Suppliers the benefits of more efficient, reliable, and faster ECU updates. Ultimately the end consumer will benefit through eliminating the need of lengthy dealership visits for software updates to their vehicles."
