The Management Board of Agora S.A. ("the Company") hereby informs that on January 4, 2012, pursuant to § 28 section 3 of the Company's Statute, the Management Board of the Company elected by way of co-option additional members of the Management Board, Mr. Stanislaw Turnau and Mr. Marek Jackiewicz.
The changes in the composition of the Management Board are meant to strenghthen the process of implementation the hitherto strategy in the Company and in the Agora Group ("the Group"), especially by means of:
- strenghtening the synergies between different media in the Group's portfolio;
- exploitation of possibilities offered by the Internet to develop new forms and scope of activities in the so - called traditional media segments;
- using internal synergies to take advantage of Group's multimedia resources and competencies, especially in the field of content distribution and monetization;
- further development of current multimedia competence centers and creation of new ones within the Group;
The development strategy of the Internet segment as well as of all Internet activities in the Company and in the Agora Group will be continued with at least the same level of engagement as hitherto.
Mr. Stanislaw Turnau is the Director of Newspaper Segment in the Company. Mr. Turnau started his career in Agora in 1989 as a journalist and later became the Head of the National Desk. In 1991 he was promoted to the post of Managing Editor of "Gazeta Wyborcza". Since December 1995 he had been responsible for "Gazeta" business as the Deputy Head of the Publishing Division. In April 2006, he became the Head of Newspaper and Internet Operations. In November 2008, he became the Head of Newspaper Operations. In the years 1992 - 1998, he was also the member of the Management Board of Agora-Gazeta.
Mr. Turnau was born in 1963. He received an MA degree in Polish from the Warsaw University.
Mr. Turnau does not conduct any activity other than within the business of the Company.
There have been no records concerning Mr. Stanislaw Turnau in the Registry of Insolvent Debtors, kept on the basis of the Act on the National Court Registry.
Mr. Marek Jackiewicz is the Head of the Magazine Segment. He began his career in Agora in October 1991. In the years 1991 - 1997 he held the positions of deputy Head of Circulation Department and the Head of the Circulation Department. Then he took the position of Head of Sales Department. He served as Deputy General Director when in December 1997 he was promoted to the post of President and editor - in - chief of Inforadio Sp. z o.o. Since August 2001, he heads the Magazine Segment in the Company.
Before his work in the Company, he was the Chairman of Circulation Commission at Press Publishers' Association, he was the member of the first Management Board of the Circulation Audit Office and represented press publishers in the Supervisory Board of Ruch S.A. Previously, in the years 1986 - 1991 he was emplyed as programmer in PZ Karen.
He was born in 1960. He holds M.Sc. from the Mathematics, IT and Mechanics Faculty of the Warsaw University.
Mr. Jackiewicz does not conduct any activity other than within the business of the Company.
