SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 29, 2015) - Apex Maritime commemorates its 25th anniversary on January 30, 2015. Founded in 1990 by Vic Cheung, the South San Francisco company started with six employees. By 1994 The Apex Group grew to include Starlink Freight System (SFO) Inc. to handle air freight and two trucking companies: AFS Cargo Express and AMC, as well as EWI Inc. to manage U.S. Customs Clearance. United Logistic Solutions and Apex Freight System opened in 2003 to take care of supply chain management and perishable shipments.

In the past 24 years, Vic Cheung has helped Apex grow to become a network of over 700 employees and 35 offices. Over time, Apex has evolved to become the third largest NVOCC in the Trans-Pacific trade, and handles over 300,000 TEUs a year.
