The Constitution of the Kingdom of Bhutan and the Anti-Corruption Act of Bhutan requires every person to report acts of corruption to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). Accordingly, the ACC has been receiving complaints on suspected corrupt behavior. However, after deployment of substantial human and financial resources to validate the allegations and take matters to logical conclusions, it is observed that a large number of complaints are either false or baseless, thus leading to huge waste of public resources.

Therefore, the ACC hereby notifies the general public to refrain from filing malicious complaints. Any person who is found to have reported false or misleading complaints/information shall be dealt with as per Section 80 of the Anti-Corruption Act of Bhutan 2011.

Issued under the seal and signature of the Commission on the 18 day of the 1 month of the year 2017.
