In 2015, the Albuquerque Rescue Mission was awarded two Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grants of $286,000 and $500,000 from New Mexico Bank & Trust and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas). The grants will be used in an adaptive reuse project, renovating an existing dance studio into 86 units of transitional housing for homeless men and women. Residents are expected to stay 18 to 24 months as they work through programs designed to assist them in becoming economically independent.
