The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) approved today (1/29) the openingof the public hearing for the 3rdTariff Revision Cycle of Empresa Energética de Mato Grosso do Sul (Enersul). The hearing will discuss with society the concessionaire's tariff revision process. The new tariffs will go into effect as of April 8. The subject will be at the hearing in the period from January 31 to March 1. The onsite session will be taking place on February 21 in the city of Campo Grande (MS).

The figures submitted to the hearing by ANEEL consist of preliminary average readjustment proposals -3.67 for all customers of the concessionaire. The final index will only be known as of early April, when the matter will be deliberated by the Board of the Agency at an Ordinary Public Meeting.

Tariff revision is provided in the concession agreements and aims to obtain the balance of tariffs based on the return on investments of companies focused on the provision of distribution services and coverage of expenses actually recognized by ANEEL. It is applied to the distribution concessionaires every four years on average.

The hearing will also discuss the quality of the service and limits the continuity indicators DEC and FEC of sets of the concessionaire defined for the period 2014-2018.
