In this A.M.BestTV episode from the recent Property/Casualty Insurance Joint Industry Forum, held in New York, NY, industry leaders stated that during 2015 the industry should continue to grow; however, it could be limited by the general economy.

President and Chief Executive Officer at CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA) Paula Downey believes technology driven business models are prompting insurers to develop new coverages. “CSAA is making significant technology and business infrastructure investments because we believe opportunities to grow business only exist by innovating, thus allowing us to better meet our clients’ needs as well as support the industry,” said Downey. “In an industry that has older legacy platforms, the challenge is to keep pace with this technology-driven innovation.”

Steve Linkous, president and chief executive officer at the Hartford Mutual Insurance Company, sees signs of a bullish 2015, “although not robust, it is definitely not going backwards,” while Henry Klecan, president and chief executive officer at SCOR US Corporation, looks upon the year as “being challenging, but not an exceptional one.”
