The 3rd Round of Joint Trade Committee (JTC) between Pakistan and South Korea held today virtually. The Additional Secretary (Trade Diplomacy) of the Ministry of Commerce led the delegation from the Pakistani side while the Director General-Ministry of Trade, industry and Energy (MoTIE) of South Korea led the delegation from South Korea.

Both sides discussed the issues of mutual interests including market access, investment opportunities, business facilitation, and other areas of mutual cooperation. Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in trade-related matters so that the true potential of trade between the two countries can be tapped in an effective manner.

The Director-General, Board of Investment gave a comprehensive presentation on investment opportunities for foreign investors especially in the areas of mobile manufacturing and electric vehicle manufacturing. Both sides also agreed to convene Ministerial Level Talks to further cement the economic ties between the two countries.
