He is a founding member of the National Defined Contribution Council, co-founder of the American Savings Education Council, and was a presidential nominee for both the White House Council on Aging and the White House Savings Summit.
He currently serves on the board of directors of the Heartland Mutual Fund Group and is a director emeritus at the Metropolitan Economic Development Association.
Mr. Armstrong graduated from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota.
