Walter Wu

Mr. Wu has over 20 years of industry experience, specializing in business incubation, investment evaluation, large-scale investment planning, and technology transfer.
Mr. Wu currently serves as Senior Manager of ITIC, responsible for operating ITRI’s Incubation Center including reviewing applicants and incubating start-ups in the Center.
He has hands-on experience in nurturing more than 75 high-tech startups in the past 7 years.
He was one of the key founders in establishing this pioneering Incubation Center, which has served as the paragon in Taiwan’s incubation practice.
In 2002, Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs awarded Mr. Wu as the Best Incubation Manager.
Prior to his responsibility at the Incubation Center, Mr. Wu was involved in organizing many large-scale companies.
Some examples are: China Engine Company, the 1st indigenous auto engine manufacturer that overcame the hurdle of export; Mirle Automation, the 1st system integrator of automation industry; Taiwan Aerospace Corporation, the forerunner of aerospace industry.
These are all examples that served as a benchmark for the new industries in Taiwan.
Mr. Wu also serves as a board member for the Incubation Center Sponsor Program and has participated in national-level technology import-service projects with reputable accolades.
He holds a B.S.
from National Tsing-Hua University.
