Profile

Tim Krause joined British International Investment as an External Investment Committee member in February 2021 and focusses on Financial Services transactions.
Tim recently retired from a 30-year career at the International Finance Corporation, including 15 years abroad in Hong Kong and Moscow.
Most of his investment experience is in the financial sector, including banks, insurance companies, and fin tech.
He pioneered IFC’s first bank investments in Russia and China in the 1990s, and was responsible for IFC’s investment portfolio in East Asia for over a decade.
Most recently, Tim played a leadership role at IFC’s Asset Management Company, where he managed six financial sector private equity and debt funds, with total commitments of $4.4 billion.
Prior to IFC, Tim worked as an International Economist at the U.S.
Treasury Department, and is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
