Mr. Sumetha Lewchalermwong, CFA, is a Deputy Chief Executive Officer & Chief Investment Officer at Manulife Asset Management (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
Mr. Lewchalermwong brings over a decade of experience in the finance and asset management industries, with a deep and broad knowledge of the Thai and regional asset management business.
Most recently, he served as Deputy CEO & Chief Investment Officer of MFC Asset Management Public Company Limited.
Prior to this role, he held several positions at Franklin Templeton Investments from 2010 to 2019, his last role being Country Head for the Thai office of Templeton Asset Management, overseeing Thai equities strategies and portfolio management for Templeton Thailand funds.
Prior to joining Templeton, Sumetha worked for Myo Capital Advisers, a Hong Kong based hedge fund, where he specialized in private equity, special situations and distressed debt restructuring for ASEAN markets.
He holds a master’s degree (M.Phil) in Economics from University of Oxford and bachelor's degrees in Commerce and Engineering with first-class honors from University of Melbourne.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Management (FRM) charter holder.
