Suk-Geun Chung

Mr. Suk-Geun Chung is Venture Partner at Atinum Investment Co., Ltd.
Previously he worked as an Investment Principal at IDG Ventures Korea.
Before joining IDG Ventures Korea, he worked for Samsung Electronics Semiconductor business where he developed the mid and long term marketing strategy for mobile application processor, CMOS image sensor and advanced media processor.
Prior to attending MBA, he has been fortunate to build a strong foundation in entrepreneurship and information technology.
Upon graduating from the university, he co-founded and organically grew four IT venture companies, two of which have subsequently gone public on the KOSDAQ.
In this capacity, he introduced the first e-payment and e-security services at INICIS and INITECH, which have dominated Korean Internet and e-commerce markets.
As an entrepreneur and co-founder, he specifically oversaw a number of critical job functions, such as research and development, consulting, marketing, sales, project management and general management.
Given the interests and experiences within the IT industry, he is looking for investment opportunity from the convergence between Internet and mobile business with new hardware device.
He is also interested in social network service, network based media distribution service, Internet security, semiconductor and personal information organizing service.
As a venture capitalist, he eagerly wants to share his expertise from the industry and strategic planning skill with portfolio companies.
Mr. Suk-Geun Chung has over 10 year professional careers in high tech sectors.
He holds BS degree in Computer Science from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) and MBA from Georgetown's McDonough School of Business (MSB) in Washington D.C., US.
