After serving on Mellon Equity’s portfolio management team for more than three years, Mr. Pitz joined our quantitative research staff early in 2002.
He brings 25 years of investment experience to the role and draws on previous experience as a quantitative researcher.
His practical market experience combined with his quantitative skills have made him a strong contributor to the evolution of our market-sensitive investment process.
His new responsibilities will bring his unique skill set to the research area on a full-time basis.
Before joining Mellon Equity in 1998, he worked for Dewey Square Investors for over a decade.
During the course of his career at Dewey, he worked as a portfolio manager, a senior quantitative analyst and a fundamental analyst.
His role included management and implementation of new investment products, as well as extensive client contact.
He is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research, and the Pittsburgh Society of Financial Analysts.
He holds an MBA in finance from Northeastern University, and a BA in political science from Middlebury College.
