Salomon Owayda

Solomon Owayda is a director and Chief Investment Officer of SVG Capital’s private equity fund advisory business.
He sits on the investment committee and is responsible for advising the Schroders Private Equity Fund of Funds I & II, in addition to the management of the Boston office.
Mr. Owayda was formerly Managing Director of Schroder Ventures North America, prior to which from 1988-1997 he was at the California State Teachers Retirement System (“CalSTRS”) as the Director of the Alternative Investments program.
During his tenure, CalSTRS committed over US$2 billion to 55 US and European partnerships.
Mr. Owayda was also adjunct assistant Professor of Finance and Investments at the Graduate School of Business, Golden Gate University.
He has a BS in Biology and Biochemistry from Marquette University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin.
