Roman Sazonov

Mr. Roman Sazonov started chairing Sokrat Investment Group (IG Sokrat) in 1994.
He has been working with Sokrat since its foundation and is a key person of influence in the development of the Ukrainian stock market.
Roman Sazonov graduated from the Department of Economics from Shevchenko Kyiv State University.
In spring 1998 he attended the International Capital Markets course of seminars in London.
He took courses in development of over-the-counter trading systems, organized by USAID under the aegis of Barents Group, New-York.
In 2001 during the elections Roman Sazonov got an absolute majority from the PFTS members and was elected the Chairman of the PFTS Board .
Following the Business Weekly, 2002, annual rating Roman Sazonov was awarded second place in "The Figure of the Stock Market" nomination.
In 2003 he was delegated by the Ukrainian Union of Industrials and Entrepreneurs (UUIE) to serve on the Cabinet of Ministers’ of Ukraine Coordinating Board on Corporate Governance Issues.
He became one of the founders of Ukrainian Capital Markets Union, a public organization that enlisted top managers of the leading investment and financial companies, which operate in Ukrainian capital markets.
