The Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I) was founded in 1960 and provides objective, fact-based information about insurance. The non-profit company is based in New York, NY. The company is a trusted source of unique, data-driven insights that inform and empower consumers. The company has more than 60 insurance company members, including nine of the 10 largest writers of property/casualty insurance. Triple-I's focus is to create and disseminate information, and they neither lobby on behalf of the insurance industry nor sell insurance. As a Triple-I member, individuals have access to their team of economists, actuaries, and researchers, as well as an extensive network of thought leaders from academia, business, and government.
