Rick Roop

Mr. Richard W.
Roop is a Senior Investment Advisor at Donaldson Capital Management LLC.
He joined the firm in 2001.
Mr. Roop went on to a successful career in the electric utility industry, working at large coal-fired generating stations.
He began his career with the former Southern Indiana Gas & Electric Company, now Vectren, as a Senior Instrumentation Engineer at Alcoa’s Warrick Generating Station.
In 1986, he moved his family to Terre Haute, Indiana, where he took a position with Hoosier Energy at their 1000MW Merom Generating Station as the Instrument & Electrical Engineer where he was responsible for all electrical systems, process controls and computers.
He rose through a number of positions, ultimately becoming the General Manager of Hoosier Energy's Frank E.
Ratts Generating Station in Petersburg, Indiana.
While working for Vectren and Hoosier Energy, he learned the value of excellent client service that he now brings to his clients daily.
In addition, his education and experience give him a solid foundation of knowledge from which to assess many industrial, technology, & utility industry related businesses.
He has served as an adjunct professor to three Indiana colleges, teaching math and engineering courses.
Mr. Roop holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from MSU in 1980.
He earned his MBA in Finance from Indiana State University.
