Richard Jahn

Mr. Richard Jahn, CPA, is a Managing Director at Andersen Tax LLC and a Member at The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He is in Andersen Tax’s Private Equity and Hedge Fund Tax Practice and has over 25 years of diverse tax experience, including extensive knowledge of alternative investments, partnership taxation and multistate taxation.
Mr. Jahn focuses on assisting investment partnerships with tax planning and compliance, fund accounting, fund administration, and structuring.
His skills also include consulting with general partners and managers regarding their individual taxation, estate planning, audit defense as well as federal and state tax compliance for management companies.
Before joining Andersen Tax, Mr. Jahn was a Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Tax Services for a fund administrator.
He worked with some of the world’s largest institutional and non-institutional private equity and hedge funds, domestic and offshore partnerships encompassing a variety of investment strategies, including buyout, real estate, fund of funds, mezzanine, and venture capital.
Mr. Jahn was responsible for the tax services provided to the administrator’s clients, which included responsibility for preparing and issuing more than 15,000 Schedules K-1 to limited partners annually.
Before that, Mr. Jahn was a Tax Partner at Arthur Andersen.
He was also employed as a Member by New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
He received his BS degree in Accounting from St. John's University.
