Porter M. Montgomery

Mr. Montgomery’s background includes a wide variety of high-tech management and strategic planning roles in the United States, Europe and Asia.
He currently serves as the Associate Administrator for Policy for the U.S.
Small Business Administration.
In this capacity as the Agency’s policy director, Mr. Montgomery is responsible for developing strategic policy priorities and planning the implementation of policy initiatives for the SBA.
Mr. Mr. Montgomery most recently co-founded and served as Operations Director for BioScale, Inc. - a Boston-based Biotechnology company that is currently creating a bimolecular detection system for defense, diagnostics, and life science markets.
Previous to that Mr. Montgomery served as Manager of Asia Pacific consulting for the International Data Corporation, where he was responsible for managing all consulting engagements and customized research for IDC across 13 countries in the Asia Pacific Region.
Mr. Montgomery also served as European Project Director for an enterprise wireless integrator in London, England.
In addition, Mr. Montgomery has worked as a political consultant and as a Legislative Aide in the U.S.
Congress.
He earned his dual major degree in History and Government from Dartmouth College and has studied at the American University in Washington DC and at Oxford University in the U.K.
