Mr. Bingham founded Malachi Group Holdings, Inc. and The Malachi Group, Inc. in 1996 and has been president, chief executive officer and chairman of these companies since their inception.
Prior to founding the Malachi Group, Mr. Bingham was a principal and shareholder of Robert Van Securities, Inc., an Oakland, Calif., based broker-dealer.
At Robert Van, he was responsible for institutional equity sales.
He previously was part of a small team of seasoned professionals that started a corporate executive services practice for the Atlanta, Ga.
office of Alex.
Brown, where from 1991 to 1995 he was responsible for 50 CEO-level clients throughout the U.S.
From 1988 to 1991 Mr. Bingham was vice president of sales and trading with the Los Angeles office of Shearson Lehman Brothers, Inc., where his responsibilities included soliciting, managing and growing institutional sales relationships with banks, insurance companies and asset management firms with up to $1 billion in assets.
Mr. Bingham began his career in the securities industry at Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. in 1986, where he graduated in the top five percent of his account executive training program at the Pasadena, Calif.
office.
There, his responsibilities included overseeing existing individual and corporate brokerage account relationships and soliciting new accounts.
Before Dean Witter, Mr. Bingham co-founded Robinson Bingham Financial Services after graduating from Morehouse College.
He also is a General Securities Principal.
