Mr. Michael Schroder is a Portfolio Manager at Old Mutual Investment Group South Africa (Pty) Ltd.
He assumed the role as head of Old Mutual Investment Group’s Value Equity Boutique between January 2007 and 2011.
He is now part of the Old Mutual Equities boutique.
He joined Old Mutual Investment Group (previously OMAM) in 1990 as an investment analyst covering gold, platinum, diamonds and a number of other shares in the resources sector.
Prior to that, he spent seven years in operations management with Anglo American.
In 1993, he was promoted to portfolio manager, first assuming responsibility for the Old Mutual Gold unit trust and later, in 1995, for the Old Mutual Mining and Resources unit trust.
He has received numerous awards for the performance of these funds.
Amongst these, he received S&P awards for the periods one, three and five years in 2007.
