Prior to joining Banyan in 2010, Mr. Jensen was previously Chief Marketing Officer at Beneficial Financial Group, where he led the mid market manufacturer of life and annuity products to historical growth rates in sales during 2006-2009.
Before that, he served as Chief Brand Officer & SVP at GMAC Insurance as well as GM & VP of Affinity Markets.
While at GMAC, he oversaw marketing and communications and led the companies drive into the broad market category.
He also led the turn around of the ailing Dollar 400MM affinity business where he reversed several years of declining sales.
Prior to GMAC, Mr. Jensen was an operational partner at IVW, a Venture Buy Out firm funded by JW Childs, Vestar Capital, and CA Indosuez.
His responsibilities primarily focused on sourcing, structuring, and functioning as interim executive management in carve out and buy out situations.
Before that, he spent the majority of his career in General, Brand, Product, and Marketing Management with some of the worlds most recognized brands and companies.
He functioned as Brand Manager for Coca-Cola classic, Market Manager for PepsiCo's Pizza Hut Division, and Account Executive with Black & Decker in Field Sales and Marketing Mr. Jensen received an MBA from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University and currently serves on the Marriot School of Management Board of Advisors.
