Dr. Menno Middeldorp is a Chief Economist & Director Knowledge Development at Cooperatieve Rabobank UA.
Dr. Middeldorp has over twenty years of international experience in economics and financial markets.
Prior to his current role, he was Head of RaboResearch Netherlands and led the team covering diverse aspects of the Dutch economy including macroeconomics, the housing market, sectors, regions and environmental sustainability.
Before that Dr. Middeldorp was an investment strategist at APG and worked at the Bank of England, New York Fed and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
Earlier in his career Dr. Middeldorp also held different research positions at Rabobank with responsibilities ranging from interest rates and FX strategy, to the US economy, to the Dutch economy.
He has a doctorate in economics from Utrecht University and wrote his thesis on how monetary policy communication impacts the efficiency of financial markets.
