Mehrdad Abedin is Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for Penwest Pharmaceuticals Co. He joined Penwest in October 2000 from Hoffmann-La Roche, where he served as Director of Infrastructure Services.
Prior to joining Hoffmann-La Roche, Mr. Abedin headed the planning and support functions of the America's Infrastructure at BASF Corporation.
He has more than 25 years of experience in design, development, operation and management.
Mr. Abedin received degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Moorhead State University and completed graduate studies in Computer Science at North Dakota State University.
