Mattia di Ubaldo

Mr. Mattia Di Ubaldo is an Economist at The Economic & Social Research Institute.
He joined the ESRI as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in June 2016.
His research lies at the intersection of international trade and industrial economics, with a focus on firms’ behaviour during economic crises.
In particular, he investigates the interactions between exporting and innovation, from both a theoretical and empirical perspective, and how demand and financial shocks affect firms’ decision to engage in these activities.
Additionally, his work has examined the impact of the 2008-09 financial crisis on various dimensions of international trade.
He holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Sussex and a BA in International Relations from the University of Rome "La Sapienza".
