Before joining Acartha, Matthew was an Associate Director with Octopus Private Equity in London, where he was responsible for all aspects of sourcing, executing, managing and exiting buyout and expansion capital investments in the UK lower mid market.
He was also an early-stage venture capital investor with Octopus, and a Limited Partner investor in private equity funds with Hermes Private Equity, also in London.
Matthew has an LLB (Hons) Law Degree from Durham University, and lives in New York City.
