Afghanaid is a British humanitarian and development organization that supports rural communities in Afghanistan. The non-profit company is based in Kabul, Afghanistan. The Afghan company has supported 1,247,800 people in 2021 by building basic services, improving livelihoods, strengthening the rights of women and children, helping communities protect against natural disasters and climate change, and responding to humanitarian emergencies. The company's projects are underpinned by the United Nations' sustainable development goals. The effects of almost 40 years of conflict, alongside the new threat of climate change, mean that millions of Afghan people still live in chronic poverty. Afghanaid has achieved a lot with the support of donors, including slashing child mortality rates, training vulnerable communities to respond to natural disasters, and empowering ultra-poor women to earn a living.
