Ms. Laura Pagenhardt is a Research Associate at The German Institute for Economic Research.
She joined the DIW Graduate from Center in 2018 and the Forecasting and Economic Policy Department in 2019.
Her research interests are focused on monetary and fiscal policy and applied econometrics.
She spent a year working at the Monetary Policy Strategy Division of the ECB.
She has also completed internships at the Deutsche Bundesbank and the European Climate Foundation.
After completing a B.Sc.
Psychology at the University of Heidelberg, Laura obtained her B.Sc.
Economics from the Free University Berlin, where she also worked as a research and teaching assistant at the chair of econometrics.
Based on her bachelor’s dissertation, she published an article on the anchoring of inflation expectations in cooperation with Prof.
Dieter Nautz.
Laura holds an M.Sc.
in Economics/Econometrics from The University of Edinburgh.
In her master's thesis, she investigated the macroeconomic effects of the ECB’s asset purchase program, by applying Bayesian econometric methods.
