The American Library Association (ALA) is a national organization that provides resources to inspire library and information professionals to transform their communities through essential programs and services. The organization is based in the United States, and it serves academic, public, school, government, and special libraries. The ALA has been advocating for the profession and the library's role in enhancing learning and ensuring access to information for over 140 years. The ALA is currently seeking proposals for its annual research forum, which will be held virtually in mid-to-late June 2023.
