Kurt Rasmussen

Mr. Rasmussen is a Managing Director at Thayer, having joined the Firm with the integration of Hidden Creek Partners in 2005.
Mr. Rasmussen currently works with several Thayer portfolio companies including RoadrunnerDawes, Morton Welding and Qualitor, Inc. Prior to joining Hidden Creek, Mr. Rasmussen spent 23 years in public accounting, most recently at Deloitte & Touche leading their Minneapolis office’s Lead Tax Services practice.
Mr. Rasmussen spent 22 years at Arthur Andersen assuming increasing levels of responsibility.
During his career at Arthur Anderseon, Mr. Rasmussen worked on assignments in the firm’s London office, at the firm’s National Practice Office in Washington, D.C., and also led the firm’s Minneapolis Corporate Tax Services group.
Mr. Rasmussen became Partner in 1994 and was responsible for a number of large corporate clients, both public and private, serving as lead tax partner and overall relationship partner.
Mr. Rasmussen spent 15 years on the firm’s national Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Advisory team which was responsible for maintaining technical and transactional expertise for the U.S.
tax practice and advising nationally on M & A transaction issues.
Over the past several years, Mr. Rasmussen was actively involved in key industrial companies including Automotive Industries, Tower Automotive, ADC Telecommunications, Deluxe Corporation and Genmar Corporation.
Mr. Rasmussen received his Masters of Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, from the University of North Dakota, and a Bachelors of Business Administration from Valley City State University, graduating with honors.
