Ken is a serial entrepreneur, having founded and run numerous software companies.
He helped to found and build Micromuse, Inc from a startup to a publicly traded company (NASDAQ: MUSE).
Subsequently, he was CEO of Tek-Tools, an IT resource management software company.
Tek-Tools' Java Integrated Development product was acquired by Allaire (NASDAQ: ALLR) in 2000.
Tek-Tools' IT Infrastructure Monitoring and Reporting Suite was acquired by Solar Winds (NYSE:SWI) in 2010.
Ken is a contributor to the Dallas Independent School District's “Leadership DISD” program and Dallas Kid’s First, a PAC that helps to identify and elect strong School Board Trustee’s.
Ken also serve on the board of Educational First Steps (EFS), working to improve the quality of early childhood education for economically disadvantaged children.
Ken also has a strong interest in stimulating investigative journalism and works closely with the Columbia School of Journalism to launch their digital on line investigative news outlet that focuses on the boroughs of New York-- http://www.thenewyorkworld.com.
