Kate Wolters

Kate Pew Wolters is the founder of the Kate & Richard Wolters Foundation, which was founded in 1997.
She currently holds the position of President at the foundation.
Ms. Wolters also holds several current positions, including Chairman at The Steelcase Foundation since 1986, Co-Chairman at Kent County Children's Commission, Co-Chairman at First Steps Commission since 2011, Independent Director at Steelcase, Inc. since 2001, Director at Grand Rapids Symphony, Director at Michigan Protection & Advocacy Service, Inc., Director at Mary & Robert Pew Public Education Fund, Director at Progressive Women's Alliance of West Michigan, Director at American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan since 2020, Director at Disart since 2014, Trustee at Grand Valley State University (Michigan) since 2004, and Trustee at Grand Valley University Foundation.
In her former positions, Ms. Wolters served as Vice Chairman at the National Council on Disability and Director at the Grand Rapids Center for Independent Living.
She completed her graduate degree at Michigan State University in 1982 and her undergraduate degree at Aquinas College (Michigan) in 1978.
