Julio Sobremazas Moreno

Mr. Julio Sobremazas Moreno is Global Chief Investment Officer at BBVA Asset Management SA SGIIC.
He joined BBVA after the merger of Banco Bilbao Vizcaya S.A.
(BBV) and Argentaria Caja Postal y Banco Hipotecario S.A.
(Argentaria).
He worked in different areas and departments of the BBVA Group as Managing Director and Head of the Fixed Income, FX and Commodities Units of BBVA from 2003 until 2008, and was Senior Vice-President and Head of the Markets Unit at BBVA New York as well as Director of Equities.
At Argentaria, he had been Director of the Equity Derivatives and Arbitrage Department.
Previously he had been Vice-President at the Volatility Group at Banco Santander which he joined after working for four years at the Capital Markets Department of BBV.
Mr. Sobremazas Moreno holds a Master´s degree in Business Administration (majoring in Financial Markets) of Deusto in 2003 and holds a degree Business Administration from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
