Prior to joining MTR in 1996, he began his career in corporate planning at Chemical Bank in New York and then moved to Vasiliou & Company, Inc., first as a securities analyst and then in institutional sales, where he specialized in distressed and high yield debt.
He has a BS in Economics and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania; he was promoted to managing director in 2003.
