John Robinson

John serves as General Counsel of Thomson Financial, a leading provider of information and technology solutions to the worldwide financial community.
John has overall responsibility for the legal affairs of Thomson Financial.
John was previously Senior Counsel at Reuters, where he advised senior management on strategic matters including mergers and acquisitions, new product and services initiatives, and various operations matters.
Prior to joining Reuters, John was associated with the law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell.
John served as an officer in the U.S.
Navy in its nuclear power program from 1986-1991 and retired as a Lieutenant.
John served aboard the USS Bainbridge (CGN-25) from 1988-1991.
John graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY with a degree in mechanical engineering and received his J.D.
degree from The George Washington University in 1994.
John resides in Riverside, CT with his wife Kathleen Brandner Robinson and has four children.
