Mr. Joe R.
Ettore is CEO and an Advisory Board Member at Management Capital LLC, Founder at WiseBuys Stores, Inc., and an Advisor at Synergy Enterprises LLC.
He is an experienced executive with a wealth of experience in retailing.
He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ames Department Stores, Inc. from June 1994 to November 2002.
He was elected Chairman of the International Mass Retail Association in 1995, re-elected in 1997 and again in 1999 to an unprecedented third term.
Prior to Ames, Mr. Ettore served in senior executive roles at Jamesway Corporation, Stuarts Department Stores and Kings Department Stores.
He is also involved in a wide range of charities, including the American Heart Association, the March of Dimes, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the United Way, the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for the children with cancer and the Jimmy Fund.
He has received the Humanitarian Award of the Housewares Charity Foundation and has been honored by various organizations, including the Cardinal Cushing School and Training Center and the Valerie Fund.
Mr. Ettore received his undergraduate degree from St. Peter's College.
In addition to his recently appointed role as a member of the Board of Directors of GPX, Inc., he serves on the Board of FAF Jewelry, the Board of Advisors of Modell's Sporting Goods, the Board of Visitors of the University of Hartford's Barney School of Business, as an advisor to Global Venture Partners and as a Senior Executive Advisor to Management Capital.
