Mr. Morse's career in the investment business began in 1953 as a research analyst for the Wells Fargo Bank Trust Department.
In 1956, he joined White, Weld & Co. in San Francisco as office manager and investment broker.
In 1965, he moved to the headquarters in New York and managed the firm’s investment research department of twenty two analysts before becoming responsible for the supervision of six international investment offices for four years, and finally managing the investment division.
In 1973 he joined American Express Asset Management Co. as President, and in 1975 became president of the Bank of America Investment Management Company.
In 1977 he helped start Kingsley, Jennison, McNulty, & Morse, which eventually merged with Stein Roe & Farnham.
