He began his insurance career at Aetna Life and Casualty as a marine & fire underwriter.
He serves as a board member of BoardSource, Metropolitan Family Services, YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, and Children´s Home & Aid Society.
He is a graduate of Berea College (Kentucky).
