J. Steven Rhodes

J.
Steven Rhodes has been a Director of Ivanhoe Energy, Inc. since December 2003 and a Member of the Compensation and Benefits and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees.
He has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Claiborne-Rhodes, Inc. since 2001.
Prior to joining Claiborne-Rhodes in 2001, Mr. Rhodes was Senior Vice President of First Southwest Company from 1999 to 2001 and Chief Domestic Advisor to Vice President George Bush from 1981 to 1985.
He held various senior management positions with William E.
Simon & Sons Municipal Securities, Inc. and Smith Barney Harris Upham & Company, Inc. Mr. Rhodes received a BBA in 1973 from Loyola University of Los Angeles and an MBA in 1977 from Pepperdine University.
