From 1982 to 1988 Ms. Hamada worked for the marketing arm of the American Craft Council as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
From 1980 to 1982 she worked as Assistant Director for an educational organization, Apeiron Workshops, Inc. From 1976 to 1980, she worked as Director of an interdisciplinary education program for the Ossabaw Island Foundation.
For the seventeen years before she joined Miller/Howard Investments in 1990, her responsibilities were a blend of marketing, administration and financial management for not-for-profit organizations.
Ms. Hamada received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1973 and an MBA in finance from Marist College in 1997.
