George Shehadeh

Mr. George Shehadeh is the Chief Executive Officer at Amwal LLC (Qatar).
He is on the Board of Directors at Dlala Brokerage & Investment Co. Prior to Amwal, he was a Managing Director of Principal Investments at SHUAA Capital in Dubai where he was responsible of the company’s proprietary investments within the region and globally.
He established and managed an endowment style, internally seeded, multi-strategy, multi-asset class portfolio that had a “West Asia” regional focus.
He also held board positions in a number of companies and funds including Amwal QSC, SHUAA Capital Saudi Arabia - regulated by the CMA in Saudi Arabia, Oman National Investment Corporation Holding a publicly listed investment company and Gulf Finance Corporation, a finance company licensed by the UAE Central Bank.
Prior to joining SHUAA in 2005, he was Co-founder and CEO of Intrinsic Asset Management in London, managing both traditional and alternative investment funds from 1999 and prior to that he was a Fund manager with Mercury Asset Management, (now a part of BlackRock, Inc.) based in London.
Mr. Shehadeh has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from University College London.
