Part of Bio Capital Ltd., Redstow Renewables Ltd. is a British UK-based company founded in 2012 that specializes in anaerobic digestion. The company generates 4500kw of electricity, which is supplied to RAF Marham, making it the first military site to be powered by a renewable source 24/7. Redstow Renewables works closely with the local agricultural community to ensure sustainable and consistent operation. The company uses anaerobic digestion to convert biomass into biogas and valuable organic fertiliser. The biogas is used to run combined heat and power engines, providing both heat and power. The renewable heat and electricity generated by the plant is used both to power RAF Marham and used on site, with the surplus electricity exported to the national grid. Redstow Renewables was acquired by Bio Capital Ltd. from Downing LLP on January 13, 2021.
