Ed has twenty years of investment experience and has held senior positions in both fund management and securities broking.
He started his career in 1979 at The British Coal Pension Fund where he was an investment analyst.
In 1984 he joined Phillips and Drew as a specialist oil salesman.
This is where he first met Tony Dye who was with the fund management arm of Phillips & Drew.
He worked at Morgan Grenfell Securities between 1986 and 1988 reaching head of UK equity sales.
In 1988 the company was closed by its parent company and he rejoined Phillips & Drew as head of UK capital goods research.
In 1994 he re-entered Fund Management with Friends Provident Life, before joining Foreign & Colonial in 1997 as a director of UK equities, managing Pension Funds and Charities.
Ed left Foreign & Colonial in August 2000 to found Dye Asset Management with Tony Dye.
Ed has a BSc from Loughborough University
